Overall Score

Your CV receives an overall score from 0 to 100. This is a weighted average of all category scores.

Category Breakdown

Formatting & Structure

Evaluates layout consistency, section organisation, and visual hierarchy. Looks for:

  • Consistent heading styles
  • Logical section ordering (contact info, experience, education, skills)
  • Appropriate use of whitespace
  • Readable font choices and sizing

Content Quality

Assesses the strength of your descriptions and bullet points:

  • Action verbs at the start of bullet points
  • Quantified achievements (numbers, percentages, metrics)
  • Relevance of included information
  • Spelling and grammar

ATS Compatibility

Checks whether your CV will parse correctly through Applicant Tracking Systems:

  • Standard section headings
  • No text embedded in images or graphics
  • Compatible file format
  • Clean, parseable structure

Suggestions

Each suggestion includes:

  • What to fix — A description of the issue
  • Why it matters — How this impacts your CV's effectiveness
  • Priority — High, medium, or low impact

Focus on high-priority suggestions first for the biggest improvement to your score.
